1. Diagnosis in suspected rabid animals
The principal routine diagnostic procedures in most countries consist of Immunofluorescent staining of brain tissue Fluorescent antibody test (FAT) and inoculation of suspect tissue into mice (Mouse inoculation test (MIT). Cost for service only 100 Thai Bt for one sample
2. Quarantine and ObservationOwned
animals (especially dog or cat) that suspected rabid should be kept in isolated cage for 10 days for observation and only for 200 Thai Bt for service.
3. Immunization of rabies for animals
By the Rabies Act B.E 2535 (1992) all dogs must be vaccinated at 3 months and tagged, following by yearly revaccination or as recommended by the veterinarian or rabies control officer involved.
